Thank you for bringing it to my attention in the first place
In life, above all else, what humans want and need ultimately, is that we mattered – even to just one person. Often what might appear to be the smallest of gestures, has the greatest impact on our hearts and our souls. When my father passed away back East several years ago, a friend from high school whom I have seen only once since high school, drove in a blinding winter storm from the Laurentians to Montreal ………. so that I would not be alone ………. it didnt occur to her not to do it; a relatively small gesture on her part perhaps. To me, it was and will always remain the most cherished and profound gift I have ever received in my life.
